11'1" Tanner Scout surfgear11'1" x 23" x 31 4" Tanner Prairie is a local Costa Mesa based board builder who knows how to shape incredibly fun boards for Orange County surf. Tanner is a well respected craftsman and extremely talented surfer. Drawing inspiration from surfing and board design from the late 1950's to early 1960's. Nate Crewdson combined the rolled bottom contour and knifey rail foil of Nat Young's 1966 Magic Sam with the outline of a 1967 Hot Generation style vee bottom

The deck is hearty and holds a solid amount of thickness in the middle before doming off towards the rail

this alaia takes a lot of effort to paddle and catch waves

the X-142 on the stringer indicates that this was an early extra stock board hand shaped by Greg Liddle most likely in the mid 1970's
